If you’ve been following along, last spring this happened-

During the rappel Darrell set his whippets down and forgot them. By the time he remembered, we were too far committed to the descent to retrieve them.
I’ve felt a bit bad about this ever since it happened, so I thought I would go see if I could find the lost poles. I thought about seeing if Darrell wanted to join me, but he suffered enough and he’s training hard for an upcoming 100 mile endurance mt bike race. Good luck next week!
Aw, Noah! So good to see your smiling (or not so smiling) face again. Just saw you posted on backcountry.com’s latest email but it didn’t really look like you so I had to come see your face here to make sure you were still the same guy. Check.

Man oh man! You have got to be kidding me! I am undeserving of a friend like you! Is the ransom really just skiing with you? Hmmmm…
Not sure if I can afford it…
Thanks! I really am a dumbass for leaving them behind. I think I was just a little cold and hungry and trying to focus on not screwing up the rap.
BTW the trailer is awesome!
