Hey Lonnie, Happy to help. Yeah, we were lucky enough to have a good view of the icefall on the flight in and pieced together a potential route that turned out to be pretty straight forward, but very intimidating. I’ll email you some picks with the route we took. One thought we had was that you might be able to get Paul at Talkeetna Air Taxi to land you on the glacier above the icefall. Might be worth looking into if you’re that intent on the line.

I read somewhere that you used Voile Objective skis on a recent big ski tour.
What skins did you use?
They have a font attachment notch and I have never used such skins and don’t know which to get.

Hi Gordon,
I have used those skis, LOVE THEM! I was using standard tail clip skins from Pomoca. You don’t have to use the tip attachment kind, but there are plenty of good companies making skins that would work. I would look at Pomoca skins. I hope that helps!
